Random Sacred Music Quote

"The musical tradition of the universal Church is a treasure of inestimable value, greater even than that of any other art. The main reason for this pre-eminence is that, as sacred song united to the words, it forms a necessary or integral part of the solemn liturgy." Vatican Council II, Sacrosanctum Concilium ¶112a, Dec 4, 1963

    Why search?

As the forum grows in contributions from users, it will become somewhat more likely that veteran members will have already addressed topics that newcomers want information about. The forum software has a simple yet keyword search function that will make finding a topics of interest rather easy.

Please note that the forum search is unique to the forum. If you wish to search for an item on the main site, please use the search tool specific to that section.

    Using search functionality

    1. Click on the Search tab at the top of the forum page.
    2. Type in one or more keywords into the input box that appears.
    3. Specify whether you want to search the Topics or Comments fields. (User search is available if desired.)
    4. Click the Search button; wait for your results.

Note that the search engine will look for posts that include all keywords specified; it does not recognize operators such as OR, NOT, +, -, etc., nor does it recognize the use of quotation marks to specify a particular phrase.

    Optimizing your posts for search

    1. If you are initiating a discussion, use a descriptive discussion topic. Most of the time a suitable topic will arise while you are typing your comments first.
    2. Check your spelling. Many browsers will have either a built-in spell-checker or capability to add a spell-checking extension for the English language. For words in Latin and other languages, be extra careful.

If anyone has any additional suggestions, please place them below. Worthy suggestions will be added to the list above and the contributor will be given credit.

Maybe I'm not doing the search right. But is there something like a subcategory where I can get audio resourses, like list of audio resources for Propers, Vespers, Children's , links to MP3 files, CDS, etc. It seems to be spread out. What's the best way to find them?
    Mia

  1.
